Desert Week: The Highlight Reel

So this is the end of Desert Week.  Hope you enjoyed it.

This week:

  • In What Is Love? Baby Don't Hurt Me. - Part 6 we learned 10 ways to get over yourself, because love does not demand it's own way.
  • In Re: What the Race to the South Pole Can Teach You About How to Achieve Your Goals, we learned that multiplicity in focus is merely unfocused.  If you want to be successful in life, you have to have one focus for you and your family.  If you are Christian, that focus should be serving God.
  • In The Scriptural Armory - God Uses Bumbling Screw-Ups, we looked at the real Moses - the fuller picture we tend to forget about in Sunday school.  Moses started his salvific career as a murderer fleeing for his life out into the desert.  Yet God used this bumbling screw-up to rescue his people and write the first five books of scripture.  It doesn't matter what you've done, God uses screw-ups to accomplish his Kingdom purposes.
  • In 5 Ways to Stay Motivated, we examined the reality of losing motivation, and how to persevere.
  • In Things To Do With Kids - Go Camping, I give you 7 great links to sites that actually know what they are talking about in this area.  I am a newby camper myself.
Next week:

  • Monday - Part 7 of What is Love? Baby Don't Hurt Me.
  • Tuesday - We'll join a relevant conversation brewing somewhere on the WWW
  • Wednesday - The Scriptural Armory: God Provides for Us, Not Our Cash
  • Thursday - Interview with a missionary who builds houses in Mexico
  • Friday - Baking with Kids (as companions, not ingredients)
